Dr. Pieter van der Scheer

Hydrogel and polymer researcher

Pieter is a Physical chemist, focusing on polymer science and really enjoying problem solving. Both in the lab and in general.

With a MSc & PhD from the university of Wageningen – including an internship at the Leipzig Institute for Interactive Materials – he worked mostly on conjugated polymer force sensors in the physical chemistry and soft matter group.

Currently at Sponsh, Pieter is a full time hydrogel and polymer researcher focused on material development. On the side Pieter has silently become a highly qualified programmer (Java, Spring Boot, Angular, Python en tensorflow) and certified scrum master! He loves learning new things and not being quarantined… (upd. 2020)
